概要
日本で生まれ育ち、現在は海外を拠点に活動する3人のアーティストが、絵画、立体作品、写真を通じて、色彩を用いた空間的な視覚表現を披露します。彼らの作品は、日本の文化的感性と、長年の海外生活や経験によって培われた深い印象の両方を喚起します。それぞれの作品には相違点と共通点が共存していますが、それらが相互に作用することで、まるで呼吸しているかのような空間的な調和が生まれています。

小灘明子
大阪生まれの小灘は、画家であった父の影響を受け、幼い頃から絵画や彫刻に興味を抱いていました。金沢で彫刻を学んだ後、オーストラリア、インド、アフリカで生活し、2022年にパリへ定住しました。近年の制作活動では、平面作品やテキストを基にした作品の制作に焦点を当てています。

樋口陽子
人やその営みに惹かれ、世界各地を旅しながら、出会った人々の日常を撮影してきました。現在はイスラエルにて日本語教師としても活動しており、言葉を通じた新たな出会いにも関心を広げています。2020年には、アグボグブロシーの電子廃棄物問題を捉えた作品により、東京書籍「国土・環境部門賞」を受賞しました。

Peco Kawashima
京都生まれ。日本で建築を学んだ後、2009年よりドイツで木彫刻を学びました。カールスルーエ美術アカデミー彫刻科修士課程を修了し、現在はカールスルーエを拠点に活動しています。
近年は、粘土や天然色素、布や紙を用い、制作過程で生まれる偶発性や素材の特性を重視した表現を行っています。視覚的・空間的に詩的な静けさを生み出しています。

Sun and Moon
Three artists born and raised in Japan, now based abroad, present spatial visual expressions through color in painting, three-dimensional representation, and photography. Their works evoke both the cultural sensibilities of Japan and the deep impressions shaped by years of living and experience overseas. While their works share both differences and similarities, their interaction creates a spatial harmony that feels almost as if it were breathing.

Akiko Konada
Born in Osaka, Konada was influenced by her father, a painter, and developed an interest in painting and sculpture from an early age. After studying sculpture in Kanazawa, she lived in Australia, India and Africa before settling in Paris in 2022. Her recent practice has focused on two-dimensional works and pieces based on text.

Yoko Higuchi
Higuchi is drawn to people and their everyday lives, and has traveled widely to capture moments from daily encounters around the world. She also works as a Japanese language teacher in Israel, extending their interest in human connection throughlanguage. For this exhibition, she isolates a single color from the vibrant daily life of Ghana, using it as a starting point to evoke landscapes and lives that extend beyond the frame.

Peco Kawashima
Born in Kyoto, Kawashima lerned architecture in Japan and wood sculpture in Germany. She completed her MFA at the Karlsruhe State Academy of Fine Arts and is based in Karlsruhe. Working with ceramic, natural pigments, fabric, and paper, she emphasizes chance and material qualities, creating quiet, poetic spatial works.
