概要

2年ほど前、生まれ育った京都から、福岡県の離島へ移住した。 
神守る島、宗像大島。古代からの信仰の地。 
離島での、恵まれた暮らし。
日々の制作、畑、動植物たちとの交流。
島の人々の、あたたかい心。
世界の片隅に佇む、ユートピア。
自宅から歩いてすぐ、海が広がる。
海岸沿いを散歩する。眼前に広がる波。
ぼんやりと波の行方を見つめる。
波は、宇宙を、あらわしている。
波は、人生を、あらわしている。
時に繊細に、時に大胆に、絶えず動いている。
波と波がぶつかり、果てしない新たな波が生まれる。
人と人の、出逢いのように。 
宇宙は、私たちの意識の波がただよう海だ。
その意識は永遠にして、打ち上げられたひとつぶの一瞬に、私たちは生きている。 (井口真理子)

Two years ago I moved from Kyoto, where I was born and raised, to an island off the coast of Fukuoka. A place called Munakata Oshima, the guardian island of the gods. A place of faith since ancient times.
My life on this island has been a blessing. My days are filled with artwork, gardening, and interactions with the plants and animals. The people on this island are generous. This place is a utopia existing in one little corner of the world.
The ocean is a short walk from my house. I walk along the coast. The waves stretch out before me. I stop and stare at the rhythm of their movement.
The waves express the universe.
The waves express life itself.
They move constantly, sometimes delicately, sometimes boldly. Two waves collide and endless new waves are born.
The universe is like an ocean filled with the waves of our consciousness.
Among that eternal consciousness, we live in the moment of a single soaring droplet. -Mariko Iguchi
