概要
何気なく見過ごすものと、心に刻まれる記憶との違いは何でしょうか。
多くの場合、その差を生むのは、ほんのわずかな視点の違い。
「Mirage」というタイトルには、ありふれたものが、焦点の当て方ひとつでまったく違う表情を見せる――そんな変容の意味が込められています。
つぼみ堂｜TSUBOMIDOでは、このたびMark PREIERによる写真展「MIRAGE」を開催いたします。
本展は、探求と発見の記録です。 建築、自然、そしてありふれた日用品たちが、光の中で、隠れていた美しさを現していく――まるで「視点」の魔法です。 これは、「見る」ことがもたらす贈り物。 ほんの少し視点をずらすだけで、世界は驚くほど違って見えてくる。その発見と驚きを、ぜひ体験してください。

【作家プロフィール】
Mark PREIER（マーク・プライアー）
1971年、ドイツ・フランクフルト・アム・マイン生まれ。
2009年、京都において写真家としての活動を本格的に開始。
その後、日本およびヨーロッパ各地で個展やグループ展を開催し、精力的に作品発表を続けている。

What makes the difference between a fleeting glance and a lasting memory?
Often, it comes down to subtle nuances. The title “MIRAGE” reflects the transformation that occurs when an ordinary subject reveals an entirely new identity through a simple shift in focus.

This exhibition documents the process of searching and finding by showcasing the magic of perspective: how architecture, nature, or simple everyday objects appear in a light that reveals their true, often hidden beauty. It’s about the gift of seeing – and the wonder of what happens when we change our focus and point of view just a little bit.

Artist Profile:
Mark Preier was born in Frankfurt am Main (Germany) in 1971.
His photographic “coming out” in Kyoto in 2009 was followed by various exhibitions in Japan and Europe.
