概要

私たちは、日々の意識の表層に現れぬまま、無数の記憶、感情、経験を蓄積し続けています。

仏教における阿頼耶識（アラヤシキ）は、その最深層に存在する「貯蔵意識」であり、存在の土台とも呼べる静かな海です。

Akiの作品は、この「見えぬ記憶の貯蔵庫」に宿る微細な痕跡と振動を、光と透明性という現象を通じて現前化しようと試みます。

蜜蝋、透明樹脂、顔料、鏡面素材──それらは光を内に取り込み、屈折し、反射しながら、可視と不可視のあわいを生成します。

一見静謐に見える表面は、常にわずかな揺らぎを含み、鑑賞者の位置、呼吸、体温、空間の変化に呼応して絶え間なく姿を変えていきます。

この「変化し続けることそのもの」を可視化する装置としての作品は、固定された像を拒み、むしろ「ただ在ること」の本質に接近していきます。

そこには八百万の神々の気配が宿り、禅的な「無為の在り方」が静かに呼吸しています。

変わり続けるということ──それこそが、唯一の不変であり、命の本質なのです。

We continuously accumulate countless memories, emotions, and experiences beneath the surface of our daily consciousness, without them ever fully emerging into awareness.

In Buddhist philosophy, Alaya-vijnana — known as Alayashiki — is this profound layer of “storehouse consciousness,” a silent ocean that forms the very foundation of existence.

Aki’s works seek to bring forth the subtle traces and vibrations dwelling within this invisible storehouse of memory through the phenomena of light and transparency.

Materials such as beeswax (encaustic), transparent resin, pigments, and mirror surfaces gather, refract, and reflect light, generating a liminal space between the visible and the invisible.

What appears to be a tranquil surface constantly contains delicate fluctuations, responding ceaselessly to the viewer’s position, breath, body temperature, and changes in the surrounding space.

As an apparatus that visualizes the very act of continual transformation, the work resists fixed imagery and instead approaches the essence of simply “being.”

Here, the presence of myriad deities (Yaoyorozu no Kami) breathes softly, resonating with the Zen sensibility of effortless existence.

To change continuously — that alone is the only constant, the very nature of life itself.
