概要
石川県能美市で塗師として活動する土田和茂の展覧会を開催いたします。土田さんは2012年に輪島にて独立し制作されていましたが、1月1日の能登半島地震により拠点を能美市へ移し、現在は仮の工房で制作を続けられています。眺めたり触れたり使いたくなるうつわを目指して漆器を作られている土田さん。輪島でしっかりと修業を積んで磨かれた塗りの技術が魅力で、手触りや口当たりはもちろん、洗った後に水ですすぐときや布巾で拭くときの心地よさも楽しみながらお使いいただけます。オーソドックスで実用的な土田さんの器は漆器にあまり馴染みがないという方にもお使いいただきやすく、堅牢でありながらも現代にあった軽やかさを兼ね揃えた作品が並びます。どうぞご高覧下さいませ。
We are pleased to present an exhibition of Kazushige Tsuchida, a lacquer craftsman in Nomi City, Ishikawa Prefecture. He started his own business in Wajima in 2012, but due to the Noto Peninsula earthquake on January 1, he moved his base to Nomi City, where he continues to work in a temporary studio. He makes lacquerware that we want to look at, touch, and use. The lacquerware is attractive because of the technique of lacquering, which he honed through extensive training in Wajima, and you can enjoy not only the feel and mouthfeel, but also the comfort of rinsing with water and wiping with a cloth after washing. His orthodox and practical pieces are easy to use even for those who are unfamiliar with lacquerware, and his works are robust yet light and modern.
