概要

住居空間を会場に、周潔は2014年の《36 Days》初日監視映像、旧日記から再構成した門簾、文字を刻んだ陶板によって、「まだ言えていないこと」がとどまる場を立ち上げる。

それは、映像、布、陶、手書きの痕跡として、消えきらずに残るもののあり方を問う試みでもある。本展は、「読むこと」から「読めなくなること」へと移行する構成を通して、言語、記憶、感情のずれを辿る。

本展では、発話されなかった感情や、言葉になる前の感覚が、生活の痕跡としてどのように空間にとどまるのかが問われている。作品は何かを説明するために置かれているのではなく、言いそびれたもの、沈殿したもの、十分に言葉にならなかったものが、異なる素材と時間の層を通してなお残り続ける、そのあり方を示している。

Installed within a domestic-scale space, Zhou Jie brings together surveillance footage from the opening day of 36 Days (2014), a curtain reconstructed from old diary fragments, and ceramic panels inscribed with text to form a site in which what remains unspoken can persist.

It is also an attempt to ask how something that does not fully disappear continues to remain as traces in video, fabric, clay, and handwriting. Moving from legibility toward obscurity, the exhibition traces the displacements among language, memory, and emotion.

The exhibition considers how emotions that were never spoken, and sensations that had not yet become language, remain in space as residues of lived experience. The works are not arranged to explain a narrative, but to show how something left unsaid, sedimented, or never fully articulated continues to persist through different materials and layers of time.
