Overview

The annual KCUA Transmit Program features emerging artists selected from BFA, MFA, or PhD degree holders who graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts (KCUA) within the past three years. Through this program, @KCUA introduces artists emerging from the Japanese cultural capital and provides support for these artists throughout the school year (April to March). This yearʼs artists are Yudai Kitaura (2020 MFA in Urushi Lacquering), Shu Okamoto (2020 MFA in Nihonga), and Takuya Otsuki (2020 MFA in Nihonga).
