Description
As for Yamadera Goto Museum, collection of European picture that Jiro was collected for many years for Goto season was founded as nucleus businessman from Yamagata in Yamadera, Yamagata-shi in 1994. Sculpture of Rodin is rocky and, mainly on European picture to the 17th to the 19th century, can watch art of wide domain including glassware such as ya Dome. By book exhibition, we trace the change of European picture reaching myth image, religious painting, portrait, still-life picture for the late 19th century and paysage of Barbizon school which opened new possibility of going picture to modern times from the baroque period through approximately 60 points of Collection of the building. We assume “scenery” in itself the leading role, and please see the middle of a journey of picture for 200 years before drawing “reality of straight fact”, and standing at entrance of modern times slowly and carefully.◎Yamadera Goto Museum
Yamagata, Goto Museum in Yamadera are Museum storing a wide variety of Europe art which the baroque period reaches in the core with Collection of Barbizon school which Jiro collected for businessman Goto season from Yamagata in the late 19th century. The Museum which let rich nature and culture fuse wonderfully is rocky, and it displays valuable Collection ticked away in glass industrial art object of dome, the history including sculpture of Rodin mainly on European picture a lot.

It is painters who described living of rural scenery and people based in barubizon village held in forest of FONTAINE blow to be located in the suburbs of Paris in the 1830-70 generation. Living environment which development of city goes ahead through Europe of the 19th century when we reached opening scene of a play of “modern times” by the Industrial Revolution dramatically, and surrounds people is complete change. On the other hand, painters who demanded ease and nature of straight fact in village of traditional barubizon which continued living a simple life gathered without being swallowed by crowd of development.
