Description
In 2014, KAIYODO reaches the establishment 50th anniversary.It is in place where plastic model fans gather, and KAIYODO which started as small model shop of one tsubo and a half in Osaka in 1964 begins production of characters molding’ figure skating’ before long.
We trace the genealogies such as challenge to new product such as [CAPSEL museum project] or [CAPSEL Q project] that got position as national hobby from collaboration, subculture with Takashi Murakami worldwide approved as geek culture that figure skating production begins for figure skating [garage kit] of a few lot dealt with by thought, “oneself will make thing which I want!”, and is increased in large quantities, and sparked social phenomenon [candy toy figure skating] and fusion of figure skating molding and art work.
Figure skating is accepted by society at the same time as these are the history of KAIYODO and spreads as thing in daily life and is thing looking back toward process when position was established. We fully introduce figure skating work by molding writer who it is admitted, and reaches even … and the world from history – constitution of figure skating of KAIYODO to current product to domain of art by book exhibition.
