Description

Joris Luyendijk was selected for “the top 40 most influential international journalists” in Netherlands.
After staying in the Middle East as a news correspondent, he is the columnist of the “BANKING BLOG” of Guardian, in which he writes sharp criticism about financial issues.
In his best-seller publication “People Like Us” he touched on matters about the stark facts around the existing media.
He draws light upon the gap between truth and report, and the various expectations and interests behind the coverage.
Is the news we see in TV real? How should we face the facts and the world stage?
Joris Luyendijk’s visit to Japan will focus on the problem of media and journalism through his lecture and discussion with participants.
